Restaurant Fire Knocked Down in Colorado
Platte Canyon, CO
March 2009
On March 11, the Platte Canyon Fire Department attended a Fire Interruption Technology training session where they learned about Ara's device and purchased one for their department. The next day, the department used it to knock down a kitchen fire in a Platte Canyon, Colorado.
The unit was deployed through the kitchen door. Despite the door being wedged open, Fire Interruption Technology knocked the fire back, prevented extension of the fire, and prevented grease from igniting.
The department has already requested a replacement unit.
