Pennsylvania Home Saved with Ara Safety's Fire Interruption Technology
New Castle, Pennsylvania
August 2008
First to arrive at the scene of the fire, Neshannock Township Fire Captain David Congini and Police Patrolman Matt Seamans arrived as smoke billowed from the front and side doors of a home in New Castle, PA. Using Fire Interruption Technology the men took immediate action and bought time until additional crew members from the Neshannock Fire Department arrived.
Using a thermal imaging camera, the arriving crew members saw that the device had extinguished the fire and brought the room temperature down drastically to 130 degrees. The crew used only one gallon of water to extinguish one small remaining fire in the closet.
“First responders on the scene have to act fast, so when we got there and realized that we had this new tool we thought ‘hey, let’s give this thing a shot’”, Captain Congini said of the deployment. “We’re very impressed with the results and have already ordered a replacement for the one we used”.
Fire Interruption Technology saved the New Castle home through its quick and effective knock down of fire and its ability to prevent the spread of the fire. Ara's device bought time and dramatically reduced water usage.
